Voidling Bound Breeding Calculator
parent A × parent B × hatchery tier / offspring ranges · odds
Data: Release-76956, checked 2026-07-03. Outcome ranges and odds, not exact stats.
How these odds are computed
Each offspring attribute is a random pick from ONE parent, not an average. The hatchery tier sets a ceiling: at 50% the child can inherit up to half of a parent's value, at 100% it can inherit the full value. The inherited points are then capped at 80 of 100 (the last 20 come from leveling); if the picked line goes over 80, points are trimmed at random.
The range for each attribute is the low and high of the two ceiling-clipped parent values. The best-line odds are one in two to the power of the number of attributes where the parents differ after the ceiling, because each of those is an independent coin flip toward the higher parent. When the 80 cap bites, that figure is an upper bound.
community-measured The 50%, 65%, and 80% ceilings and the Wrangler levels for them come from a single community wiki and are not confirmed. Only the 100% ceiling at Wrangler 50 is confirmed by several independent sources. Numbers derived from the soft ceilings are labelled in the plate.
How does breeding work in Voidling Bound?
Breeding needs two voidlings of the same species at the Breeding Station, which unlocks after the Reclaim Sanctuary mission. Each offspring attribute is inherited from one parent, natures can combine, and the subspecies follows the shared point in the parents' evolution paths. This tool plans that away from the keyboard: it compares pairings, solves natures, and shows the odds the in-game preview does not.
How does stat inheritance work? (the 80-point cap)
A bred voidling inherits up to 80 attribute points of a possible 100; the final 20 are earned by leveling (max level 20, one point per level). Per attribute the child takes one parent's value, clipped by the hatchery ceiling. If the total of the inherited attributes would pass 80, the game reduces attributes at random until the total is 80. The explorer shows the best case and flags when the cap forces a trim.
How do I get 100% stat inheritance?
The inheritance ceiling rises with hatchery upgrades: 65% at Wrangler 20 (Sunlight Therapy), 80% at Wrangler 35 (Advanced Parental Care), and 100% at Wrangler 50 (Void Resonance Treatment). Only the 100% step is confirmed across independent sources; the 65% and 80% steps are community-measured. Set the hatchery tier in the tool to see the same pairing at each ceiling.
How do I get the best stats from breeding?
Because each attribute is a per-attribute coin flip, the best-line odds fall by half for every attribute your parents differ on. Two parents that both already have high values in the attributes you care about narrow the range and raise the odds. Use the copy-to-other affordance to hold one parent fixed while you test a second candidate, then read the best-line odds for each.
How do I breed for new natures?
Breeding two different single natures gives a chance of a combined dual nature (the game does not publish the odds). Nature type and rarity inherit separately, so an exceptional parent can pass its rarity to a different type. The dual-nature solver turns a target nature into the parent pairing that can form it.
Why can't I breed my voidling?
Mutant variants are permanently sterile with no bypass. Spliced voidlings are sterile by default but can breed again after the Spliced Breeding upgrade (Wrangler 45, a community-measured gate). Splice after breeding when you can, because splicing is irreversible. Set a parent's fertility to Mutant or Spliced in the calculator to see the exact sterility warning.
What this tool does and does not do
What this tool does NOT do
It does NOT predict an exact offspring stat line (stats are a bounded random draw, so it shows ranges and odds, never one number). It does NOT simulate splice builds (that is a freeform gene picker, covered at splicing.gg). And it does NOT name the exact offspring subspecies for two different subspecies, because the community evolution tree is only partly published (the parent-to-child links are missing). Where the data runs out, the tool says so instead of guessing.
Is this an exact calculator?
No, and no honest tool can be. Offspring stats are a bounded random draw (pick one parent per attribute, clipped by the ceiling, capped at 80). This is an outcome-RANGE explorer: it shows the range each attribute can land in and the odds of the best line, which is what the game actually rolls.
Does it simulate splice builds?
No. Splicing is a freeform gene picker, and a full splice-build simulator already exists elsewhere at splicing.gg. This tool covers breeding: outcome ranges, odds, natures, subspecies, and sterility.
Is the data current?
The rules reflect build Release-76956 (patch 2026-07-02), checked 2026-07-03. No stat-inheritance, nature, or splicing rebalance has shipped since launch; the only breeding change was an egg-quantity fix. Numbers that come from a single community source are labelled community-measured in the tool.
This is a fan-made breeding calculator for the video game Voidling Bound by Hatchery Games. It computes offspring stat ranges and odds, solves dual natures, and warns about sterility. Every number describes the game only.
